KUALA LUMPUR: Yayasan Lembaga Kemajuan Tanah Persekutuan (Felda) dilaporkan akan memberhentikan atau memotong gaji berpuluh pekerjanya, lapor akhbar Singapura, The Straits Times (ST). Perkara itu disahkan Pengerusi Felda, Tan Sri Shahrir Samad dan Pengerusi Yayasan Felda, Datuk Seri Abdul Manan Ismail. Shahrir berkata ia sebahagian rancangan penstrukturan semulanya. Felda yang berdepan skandal rasuah dan prestasi kurang memberangsangkan sayap syarikat senaraian awamnya, dilapor mengumumkan sebahagian daripada 68 pekerja Yayasan Felda akan dihentikan menjelang akhir tahun ini. Menurut laporan ST, walaupun jumlah itu kecil, langkah drastik itu mencerminkan bagaimana Felda perlu mengambil langkah untuk pulih daripada masalah dihadapinya. Yayasan itu yang mendapat peruntukan tahunan RM10 juta, menguruskan kolej Felda, sebuah pusat dialisis dan kebajikan bagi peneroka serta keluarga mereka.
