The final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 was played between India and Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to bat first. Sreesanth replaced Nehra for this match and Randiv replaced Matthews. The Indians bowled very well in the first 10 overs not giving away anything to the Lankans. Zaheer Khan was very impressive with three maiden overs and a wicket of Tharanga for just 2 runs from 20 balls. From there onwards, Dilshan and Sangakkara started building up and were looking good until Harbhajan picked up Dilshan and Yuvraj got Sagakkara out. Jayawardena came to the crease and started building up partnership with Samaraweera but soon Samaraweera became a victim of Yuvraj Singh. Nuwan Kulasekara joined with Jayawardena and both of played really well to get Lankans a fighting total in the final of the Cricket World Cup. ICC Cricket World Cup Schedule 2011 The ICC World Cup 2011 Schedule has been announced and the first scheduled match is between India and Bangladesh, which starts at 2 o'clock on February 19th, 2011. Good times are here for India and the country will be hosting the 10th Cricket Cup. Cricket is the country's most loved sport. The original schedule also included Pakistan as a co-hosting nation but was later deprived of its chances as seven players from Sri Lanka were injured in a terror attack, forcing the world cricket governing boards to strip Pakistan of co-hosting the world cup on April 17th, 2009. The last world cup which was held in the Asian subcontinent took place in 1996. Sri Lanka won the trophy and was considered as the incomers into the select cricket playing nations.
